Chief Education Officer
The Chief Education Officer is ultimately responsible for the quality of education, therapeutic and ABA services and the P&L of all Gersh day schools.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum
· Curriculum must be across all programs including social skills, life skills, academics, technology to support all of it in one place, a full curriculum for all levels of students
· Responsible for the creation and implementation of an all-encompassing distance learning platform as well as a plan to sell internationally.
Staff Training
· “Turn the Ship Around” philosophy whereas those who have information have the actual ability to make change
· Career pathing for all levels of staff
· Full staff training center – A place for new school onboarding that encompasses a comprehensive one-month training course for Principals, APs, and other Leadership staff. All levels of staff will receive a Gersh completion certification and will be in compliance before starting to work with the students
Students
· Developing vocational opportunities in and out of school including food service, maintenance, phones, administrative work in each location
· Develop programming for all children
· Starting 9th grade real independent living track skills including Self Direction, independence, life skills, transportation, money management, etc.
· Post-graduation Gersh follow up for at least 1 year
· Matrix used across the board to evaluate and place students in classrooms
· Maintain student outcome statistics post grad for 5 years
· Ongoing Data collection in all progress areas
· Full evaluation upon entering Gersh that includes a video library for each child
· Progress packets for districts sent monthly
· Therapeutic components integrated into every student's individual life plan with all therapies in conjunction with the common goal
· College training program for interns to become Gersh certified
Operations
· Systems in place in all schools. Processes are the same and the only differentiator is the type of student we serve in each location
· Drive EOS all the way down the school staff. Measurements based on KRA metrics
· Culture of collaboration, transparency, honesty and entrepreneurial spirit
· NPS of 7 or higher
· Gersh geosystem including ABA, summer camp, driving school, after school, family outings, Gersh lifestyle swag, animal therapy including bunnies, dogs, chickens, horses
· Respite care program for parents to hire Gersh Paras for vacation, respite, assistance etc.
· Resource guide for parents including where to go for restaurants, travel locations activities, services
EBITDA
· The EBIDTA goal is to be between 28%- 34% not dropping below 25% and not exceeding 35%
· Decrease costs
· Increase margin
Expectations
Present in schools on a regular basis. Travel in the first year one week for every 25 children. Cougar Mountain 1.5 weeks, Crotched Mountain 2 weeks, West Hempstead, West Hills Academy, Queens, 3 weeks. After processes are in place, periodic inspections four times a year. When regional managers are in place, three times a year tapering off to two times minimally per year.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
