Bellwether is looking for an Executive Assistant to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting high-functioning leaders, solving logistical challenges, and collaborating with teammates. The location of this role is flexible, enabling us to hire the best person for the role, regardless of geography.

Bellwether Education Partners is a national nonprofit focused on dramatically changing education and life outcomes for underserved children. We do this by helping education organizations accelerate their impact and by working to improve policy and practice.

The Core team is Bellwether’s support service center. Core team members run the organization’s operations so that our business lines can focus on fulfilling our mission of dramatically changing education and life outcomes for underserved children.

About the Position

Executive Assistants sit on Bellwether’s Core team and work across Bellwether supporting assigned leaders on our Policy & Evaluation and Strategic Advising teams. Under the direction of the Director of Operations & Senior Executive Assistants, Executive Assistants will support best practices related to scheduling, travel planning, and administrative support.

The Executive Assistant’s primary responsibilities and duties will be to:

  • Schedule complex meetings or calls involving multiple people - both internal staff and client staff - for up to five Bellwether senior team members;
  • Arrange extensive domestic travel for these team members, after Bellwether’s COVID travel restrictions are revoked;
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit expense reports for these team members on a monthly basis;
  • Plan logistics for meetings or convenings as they relate to client projects;
  • Regularly add and update contact information in Salesforce; and
  • Provide other ad hoc assistance to the team members you support, other Core Team members and the Director of Operations, as needed.

  • At least three years’ professional administrative experience supporting two or more people, while remaining organized and maintaining a high level of attention to detail;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • A highly self-motivated work style and the flexibility and willingness to take on additional projects when needed;
  • Ability to work proactively in an ambiguous and dynamic small organization;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Comprehensive computer skills including calendaring, word processing, and using spreadsheet and database software;
  • Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to work effectively alone and in a team environment;
  • Strong ethics and personal integrity;
  • A professional attitude and client-service orientation; and
  • A track record as an outcome-driven self-starter.

The following is ideal but not required:

  • Familiarity with G-Suite and Salesforce.

Compensation

Salary range starts at $59,500 annually.
